NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP

1798 to 1800 Created from Irwin Twp., Allegheny Co.
Supposed oundaries:1  Starting near Sharon, and running east near to the line now [in 1888] dividing Jackson from Worth Township; thence north to the Crawford County line; thence west to the State line; and thence south to the place of beginning.
Election district boundaries:2  Beginning at the north-west corner of the fourth district of donation lands, thence east along the division line between the fourth and fifth districts of donation lands nineteen miles, thence south to the division line between the first and second districts of donation lands, thence west to the state line, thence north along said line to the place of beginning.
9 July 1800 Boundaries redefined:  northern part lost to creation of Salem Twp. and Sandy Lake Twp. [q.v.]; territory gained from North Beaver Twp.3
Beginning at the South East corner of Salem Township thence along the line of Coolspring Township Southwardly to the line of the County thence by the same West to the State line thence North to the corner of Salem Township thence along the line between the third and fourth Districts Eastwardly to the place of Beginning.
