SPRINGBORO.
    The town was incorporated as a borough in 1867, and has a population of about 350.  It contains three churches; M. E., Rev. J, M. Graves, pastor; Christian Church, Rev. J. G. Bishop, pastor; Baptist, Rev. Peas, pastor; one graded school, one circulating library, (in which possession it stands alone in the county); two tanneries, a steam saw mill, two carriage factories, a cheese factory, one hotel, two stores, keeping general merchandise, and grocery and feed store; one drug store, one millinery store, two hardware stores, two shoe stores, two blacksmith shops.  There meet here the Etna Lodge of A. O. U. W.; Spring Valley Lodge, No. 1264 of Good Templars; one company of State Police.
