ca. March 1829 Created from parts of Oil Creek Twp., Randolph Twp., and Wayne Twp. 1
Boundaries:  Beginning at the S. E. corner of [Donation] lot No. 1199, on the line of Venango county; thence with said line north and eastwardly to the S. E. corner of a tract in the name of Daniel M—Combs; thence north to the N. E. corner of a tract in the name of Moses Evans; thence west to the N. W. corner of lot No. 1370; thence south to the line of the sixth [Donation] district, at the S. W. corner of lot No. 1379, in the seventh district; thence by said line to the N. E. corner of lot No. 1167; thence south to the S. W. corner of lot No. 1197; thence east to the place of beginning.
3 May 1850 Northern part lost to creation of Steuben Twp. [q.v.]
1865-1876 Territory apparently gained from northwestern part of Wayne Twp. 2
