9 July 1800 Created from parts of Conneaut Twp. and Mead Twp. 1
Boundaries:  Begining at [or one tract west of?] the north east corner of sadsbury township thence north to the north line of Crawford County thence west until it strikes the north east corner of Beaver Township thence south along the same to the northeast corner of Sadsbury Township thence east to the place of beginning.
ca. March 1829 Boundaries redefined: southern and western parts lost to creation of Hayfield Twp., Snowhill Twp., and Summerhill Twp.; territory gained from Venango Twp. 2
Beginning at the N. E. corner of [Snowhill (now Spring) Twp.], being the N. W. corner of a tract in the name of A. Sweeny; thence south about six miles to the S. W. corner of a tract returned to Peter Scott; thence east about five miles to the S. E. corner of a tract in the name of John Hites; thence north 213 perches to the S. E. corner of a tract in the name of A. Greenlee; thence east one mile to the S. E. corner of a tract in the name of E. Spencer; thence north to the N. E. corner of a tract returned to James Gibson; thence west along the Erie County line to the place of beginning.
